Hi, i’m owning a brass piston. Nice.
Now i’m considering buying a stainless steel one and the stand. But: the s.s. and the brass pistons have differnt weight - will that effect the way the pistoms will move while connected to the stand? Would it be better to get another brass one?
Hello!
Welcome to the pneumatic club! We have mixed the brass and stainless on a stand before, and you do get a slightly different effect where the brass will push the stainless steel upwards as it is very slightly heavier than the brass. It creates quite an interesting effect if you want to play around with mass.
But if you want the balanced bouncing effect where they are both equal I would recommend going for a second brass one.
Hope that helps!
Actually i’m in the pneumatic club since ages - i own one of the Kickstarter Cubes
But thanks a lot for the really helpfull answer!
Nice!, thanks for sticking with us all this time, glad it was useful!
