Attention Grip Owners šŸ”Š

How do you use your MetMo Gripā“

Is it your go-to tool or do you prefer to keep it in pristine condition? Let us know in the comments!

Mine was in pristine condition until I dropped it on the concrete driveway and damaged the top jaw. D’oh!

Tools, nooooo! Heartbreaking. What’s the damage looking like?

Peg, It’s not toooo bad. I should be able to clean it up with some wet and dry. Looks a bit more like a real used tool now though, so I might leave it, because no doubt I’ll drop it many more times in its life.

For the moment I keep it in pristine condition  It’s a master piece for collection ! And I’ve bought it for that, not really to work with it… and I’m not sure that it is really efficient for hard work (it seems slip a little, but not a problem for me because I prefer to admir it than to hardly use it ^^

Ulrick, thanks for commenting! It is a good looking wrench ,

Peg, but for the driver… very nice but I’m certain to often use it so I don’t think to let it in pristine condition !!

Ulrick, great to hear! Would love to see it in action when you finally get your hands on it.

Peg, More stuff than I’d care to haul out and count.

Notable things:

  • Niwa camera tool kit in a ā€œSafety Caseā€ (modeled on the toolkits knitting machine mechanics used) from Levenger: https://www.edcforums.com/threads/lets-see-your-small-edc-tool-kit.138327/#post-2649442>
  • also a couple of Altoids tins w/ hex bits (also shown in the above)
  • a collection of multi-tools/knives, including my original Leatherman PST (Pocket Survival Tool) as well as a Crunch, also a Schrade Old Timer carving knife
  • a couple of different drivers, most of which the Metmo Driver will displace — one notable driver though is the Silca T-ratchet & Ti-Torque Kit (I have a first generation unit from their Kickstarter) which if moved, will go into my EDC bag (see below)
  • Knipex Cobra/Plier Wrench set in pouch — these are amazing, and to my mind, pair really well w/ the Metmo Wrench for instances where I’m concerned about marring things

One possibility though is that the Metmo driver will allow me to collapse a subset of my frequently used tools:

Into a Munich Canvas case which I carry in my Chrome Industries Kadet Sling Bag (also a Mininch Toolpen, Mini Toolpen, Wrench, Leatherman PST Mini, and Spyderco SpydeRench, 4" titanium adjustable wrench, and a pair of shears).

William, sounds like a great precision tool bag, looks like a pretty nifty tool roll up you’ve got there too! Thanks so much for sharing, this is exactly the content we love to see on CubeClub. Can’t wait to see how to the Drivers fits in!

I bought mine w/ the intention of using it, but for reasons, it wound up in my ā€œprecision tool bagā€ and none of the projects I’ve hauled that out for have involved wrenching since I got it (will probably be revisiting tool storage/organization once I get my Metmo Driver on this account) — did buy a second on Indiegogo as a graduation gift for my son, but not sure if he’s been using it or no — hopefully it will get used, kind of sad when a tool isn’t.

William, thanks for commenting! Would love to see what else is in your precision tool bag :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:.

I’m gonna use the hell out of it. I’ll buy another if I need to. This thing rules.

need a smaller and larger version!!!
