Any thoughts on lubricating the Pocket Driver? Mine seems a little stiff when ratcheting. I had to hold the tip of the driver to keep it from turning the screw back out.
We use Singer machine oil as our primary lubricant for all our tools (back when we made our own leather pouches it was great for maintaining our sewing machines!). Any similar oil would work; we just like this one because it's not too thick. We do use a bearing grease between the chuck and barrel for the Pocket Driver for a little more heavy duty action.
If you're finding the ratchet a little stiff you might want to play around with the grub screw as IceDogg03 recommended! There's definitely a sweet spot to be found!
It'd be interesting to see what METMO recommends. But for me, I'd use general purpose grease. Like lucas or royal purple. Mine was a little rough out of the box and it was the grub screw on the chuck. So I backed it out a tad and it was perfect. I also added some blue loctite to that and the thumb lever because both easily moved...
If you undo the grub screw on the handle and take it off to expose the brass bushing on the barrel, some lubricant on the brass should fix your squeaking. You'll only need a small dab, but it'll just be enough to make things smooth.

My original one squeaks horribly -- I would also like tips on how to lubricate it, thanks.
