Anyway, was able to fill all the slots, which is important to my OCD.
The bit handle really doesn't make sense to me --- rather than being retained by a tiny grub screw, it should have been held in place by a ball-bearing on a spring or magnets or something, and had a second part which was secured to the barrel so that the tool wasn't practically coming to pieces when one gets a bit out of it --- will have to see what can be puzzled out and made out of the spare handle.
Also, the shiny steel lever handle really wants to be checkered or engraved or something --- a future project.
