There are many grades of titanium, and some are are strong as stainless steel. However I have no idea of how much it costs or how hard it is to manufacture.
However, if possible, that would make a really cool upgrade to things like the Grip, and Driver. I doubt your metal suppliers have stock of the the harder versions.
While https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titanium_alloy> is above my knowledge, and I'm not a chemist, engineer, or metallurgist, but I used the common grade 5 titanium for my bicycle (from https://waltlytitanium.com/>).
However MetMo items are unlikely to be "mass produced", and are expensive. So if you can make things that don't corrode (to cover copper, aluminium, etc) I would be very interested in both a new Grip and Driver (when the Driver is finished).
Feel free to tell me I'm full of <expletive deleted>. But I'd love to know why it's not a viable idea. :-)
Hey!
Thanks for dropping this here, great topic and we’re always interested in exploring new materials with our designs.
We try and explore titanium grade 5 as an option with pretty much all of our designs, but we tend to do weird things people don’t normally do in engineering, so when it comes to manufacture, we hit a few roadblocks and the failure rate shoots through the roof (along with the price!)
If you take the grip for example, machining the internal thread on the lower jaw was super difficult and it kept failing or produced sub-standard jaws that liked to jam a lot. Unfortunately, this killed the titanium option for that product. However, I like your idea for upgrades and now we don’t have an impending campaign deadline, we can start to look at more R&D opportunities for our designs.
As you say, we don’t do mass production and focus on low volume, weird and fun designs! Going forward I will keep pushing titanium and figure out better ways to machine it for future designs.
Thanks for your feedback 😊
Cheers,
Peg

Titanium is the best of the non precious metals. Best properties, best look, still reasonable price.
Go for it!
