Hi,
Couple years back I stumbled upon a tool, just looked cool, and I bought it.
Later on I found out it a Weltrecord ratcheting screwdriver, there wasn`t that much info online at the time...but I knew I had found something nice.
I will leave a pic, of what I belive is one of the nicest and oldest weltrecords
Reading a post on this website about it`s history I think you guys will appreciate it maybe more then I do.
I`m also looking to sell it, but I do not have an idea on the price.
Intrested in hearing your opinion, and toughts.
Typical completed/sold price on eBay is ~$50 US for the plastic handled one and ~$100-150 US for the wooden handled one. Costs are higher end for Australian sales and lower for US/UK sales.
Hey,
That is a really nice piece!
When we were developing the original Driver, we managed to get hold of some original Weltrecords with a collet chuck, but I think the one you have with the standard drive mount is a tad rarer. It looks like yours has been very well looked after over the years too!
I'm not sure how much it's worth, but you bought at the right time as they're few and far between on sites like ebay these days. I can't find any listings at the moment, so might be worth doing a bit of research to see what the market is like for them now.
These are the ones we have here in our collection, along with a 70's plastic handled variation too.
Thanks for sharing and if you don't sell it, I hope you enjoy owning one of the best looking tools ever made for many years to come :)
Cheers,
Sean @MetMo
