Hi,
why i need a new cube:
I'm a proud owner of the first cube edition from KS. Those where not as slow as hoped. But finally i found a solution: superglue to seal the small gap at the bottom of the cube. Unfortunately i didn't take the pistons out. The superglue crawled deeper than expected and the pistons were glued.
I removed the now superglued bottom plate and thought it would be a good idea to use a hammer to knock the pistons out. Shure i need something to soften the impact, i took a thick peace of foam rubber to protect the surface of the pistons. But of course, the foam rubber was not thick enough and now i have three dents on one of the pistons.
Did i get the pistons out? Yes, but not with the hammer. Solution was to put the whole cube in hot water, wich loosens the glue and the pistons could be pushed out with a finger

Then i used the superglue method to seal the bottom again, this time without the pistons and voila, now the cube is much slower as i mentioned earlier in another post
But those ugly dents....
