Last but not least in our ambassador lineup is Jon Gadget!
Here's his profile:
1. Tell us a little about yourself (home city, country, the type of content you make, etc.)
I live in a village near York in East Yorkshire. I make content in relation to everyday carry gear and travel gear - showcasing new products, reviewing and testing, I also show how I bring products together to create ‘get-me-out-of-trouble’ kits.
2. What is your niche/audience for your content?
The audience sits between those who like reduce friction in everyday life and travel at one end and serious peppers at the other - I am somewhere in between focussed on accessible approaches to improving small elements in daily life and travel.
3. What made you want to collaborate with MetMo?
We share the same values when it comes to innovation and quality and you don’t see too much of this coming out of the UK.
4. Name your favourite gadget of all time
Ignoring the obvious phone, a Victorinox knife is with me almost everyday and I am never without a small torch.
5. What is your favourite MetMo and why?
The MetMo Pocket Driver - with the leverage component it can really perform without the need for external power - it also looks amazing and once again the quality shines through.
6. Favourite YouTube channel and why?
Hard to pick a favourite but MKBHD is up there for tech along with MrWhosetheBoss, and Veritasium.
7. The project you’re most proud of and why?
It depends what you mean by project - many years ago I opened a retail store called The Gadget Shop which grew to over 50 stores - followed by another retail chain called RED5. I have spent many years sourcing products from all over the world for these retail businesses - I use the same approach to reviewing products as I would to sourcing products for the retail chains.
8. If you could only have 1 tool for the rest of your life what would it be?
A Leatherman Arc
9. What’s one DIY skill you think everyone should learn?
That’s a very difficult question - cooking 😊
10. A random fact or a your worst dad joke
Dad joke - I used to be a tap dancer until I fell in the sink...
